If you are a citizen of India and want to visit Ecuador, then you don't need a visa in advance. Though, in order to get visa on arrival traveler should have financial documents, passport with validity of 6 months and two blank pages, a return ticket, and travel insurance.
Citizens of most countries do not need to apply for a tourist visa for Ecuador at all. They can simply enter with their passports. However, citizens from countries where visa requirements are enforced do have to apply for an Ecuador tourist visa.
You can travel to Ecuador for up to 90 days in any 12-month period without a visa. If you plan to stay longer, contact your nearest Ecuadorean Embassy (in Spanish) before travelling. If you're already in Ecuador and want to stay longer than 90 days, you can pay to extend your stay (in Spanish) by an extra 90 days.
