Denmark Visa User Guide

Introduction

The Denmark tourist visa is a Schengen visa that is issued for tourism or business purposes, allowing you to visit Denmark and all other countries in the Schengen Area for a maximum of 90 days.

Who Can Apply?

International travelers whose sole objective for visiting India is recreation, sightseeing, casual visit to meet friends and relatives, attending a short term yoga programme,Short term courses on local languages, music, dance, arts & crafts, cooking, medicine etc. which should not be a formal or structured course.

Documents Required

Passport Validity: Must be valid for at least three months beyond your intended departure date from Denmark..
Visa Application Form : Fully completed and signed. The form can be downloaded from the Danish consulate’s website or obtained directly from the consulate.
Photographs : Two recent passport-sized photographs (typically 2 x 2 inches) that meet Schengen visa photo requirements.
Cover Letter : A letter explaining the purpose of your visit to Denmark, including your travel itinerary, planned dates of travel, and your intention to return to India. Include information about your accommodation and travel plans.
Travel Itinerary : Proof of your travel arrangements, including flight bookings (round-trip) and a detailed travel itinerary.
Proof of Accommodation : Hotel booking confirmations for the entire duration of your stay in Denmark or an invitation letter from a host in Denmark, including proof of their address and legal status (if applicable).
Proof of Financial Means : Recent bank statements (last three to six months), pay slips, or proof of income demonstrating that you have sufficient funds to cover your stay in Denmark. This may also include proof of assets or other financial documents.
Travel Insurance : Proof of travel insurance with coverage of at least €30,000 for medical emergencies and repatriation, valid across the Schengen Area.
Visa Fee :Payment of the visa application fee, which is generally around €80 for adults and €40 for children. Check the exact amount and payment method with the Danish consulate.

Terms and condition

You must have a passport not older than ten years with at least six months of validity. The passport should have two blank pages for stamping. Two colored passport-sized photos (not older than six months, with plain white background). Take photos according to the Schengen visa photo requirements.
