Afghanistan Visa User Guide

Introduction

Tourist visa is issued with a validity of ninety (90) and a period of 30 days stay. TV can be extended only once by the Ministry of Interior Affairs with the approval of the Afghan Tourism Department. Please be aware that employment is not permitted under a tourist visa.

Who Can Apply?

Visas may be obtained from the Embassy or Consulate of Afghanistan in India. Based on the purpose of your visit to Afghanistan you may apply for a Working Entry Visa, Business Visa, Tourist Visa, Visit Visa, Official Visa, Diplomatic Visa, Student/Research Visa, Transit Visa.

Documents Required

Visa Application Form: Completed and signed visa application form. This can usually be obtained from the Afghan embassy or consulate where you intend to apply.
Passport: Original passport with at least six months of validity beyond your intended stay in Afghanistan
Photographs: Recent passport-sized photographs (usually 2 or 3, depending on the embassy's requirements) with a white background
Visa Fee: Payment of the visa application fee. The fee amount and payment method can vary by embassy or consulate. Single entry Normal 30 days
Travel Itinerary: Details of your travel plans, including flight bookings (not necessarily confirmed tickets)
Proof of Financial Means: Evidence that you have sufficient funds to cover your expenses during your stay in Afghanistan.
Letter of Invitation (if applicable): If you are visiting friends or family in Afghanistan, a letter of invitation from your host including their contact information and a copy of their Afghan ID or passport.
Purpose of Visit: A cover letter explaining the purpose of your visit to Afghanistan, your travel itinerary, and any other relevant details.
Proof of Return: Evidence of your intention to return to India after your visit to Afghanistan. This could include a confirmed return flight ticket, proof of employment
Health Insurance (if applicable): Some embassies may require proof of travel health insurance covering medical expenses and emergency evacuation during your stay in Afghanistan.

Terms and condition

Applicant's passport should have at least six months validity at the time of making application for grant of e-Visa. International Travellers should have return ticket or onward journey ticket,with sufficient money to spend during his/her stay in India.
